Tell It Like It Is PAC Releases New Web Video: “Golf Shirts”

Ad Targeted At Audiences In Washington D.C. & New Hampshire

ARLINGTON, VA — Today, Tell It Like It Is PAC launched a web video featuring Governor Chris Christie’s sharp criticism of former president Donald Trump and his implausible defense related to his mounting legal woes. Entitled “Golf Shirts,” the :60 second spot will air across digital platforms, specifically targeted to voters in New Hampshire and at this week’s Road To Majority Conference in Washington D.C.

The web video features Christie unpacking Trump’s excuse for failing to respond to a federal subpoena, zeroing in on the statement from the former president that, “before I send boxes over, I have to take all of my things out. These boxes were interspersed with all sorts of things: golf shirts, clothing, pants, shoes.”

The Governor concludes by noting, “The problem for Donald Trump with all of this is his own conduct. He’s his own worst enemy.”

“After little more than two weeks as a candidate, it’s clear Governor Christie’s message is resonating,” said Colin Reed, senior adviser to Tell It Like It Is. “His relentless media tour and public prosecution of the former president is already moving the needle.”

Over the last week, multiple public polls in New Hampshire have shown Governor Christie surging. A New Hampshire Journal coefficient poll put Christie in third place, just 4 points behind Governor DeSantis, and ahead of former Vice President Mike Pence, Governor Nikki Haley, and Senator Tim Scott. Similarly, a National Research Inc. survey put Christie’s support at 7 percent.
