Tell It Like It Is PAC Launches First Radio Ad ARLINGTON, VA — Today, Tell It Like It Is PAC released its first radio ad highlighting Governor Chris Christie’s willingness to fight to deliver real results. Entitled “Stand Up,” the :60 second spot is part of a five-figure buy that will air statewide across New Hampshire. The ad features Governor Christie talking about his tenure as a conservative governor in deep blue New Jersey. “There is a difference between fighting to get something done and fighting just for the sake of fighting,” states Christie. Facing a Democratic legislature, Governor Christie took on the teachers’ union, expanded school choice, instituted spending caps and got the Democratic legislature to reform the pension system. TRANSCRIPT FOR “STAND UP” (RADIO:60): Voice Over: Governor Chris Christie on why he’s running for president: Chris Christie: No one ever, ever has questioned whether I’m a fighter. Whether I’m willing to stand up for the things we believe in. There’s a difference between fighting to get something done and fighting just for the sake of fighting. I fought the teachers’ union in New Jersey and brought more charter schools and more renaissance schools to my state than any governor in the state’s history. I stood up and fought against those forces in my state who thought you couldn’t cut spending and you couldn’t cut taxes, and we did it –and we did it with a Democratic legislature. We reformed the pension system with Democratic help. This is about having someone who knows how to use the levers of power and the bully pulpit to be able to get results. I am the guy who can bring results. I’ve done it before in one of the bluest states in this country and I will do it again when I am President of the United States.
