Tell It Like It Is PAC Releases New Ad Taking Trump, Biden To Task On Spending ARLINGTON, VA — As Governor Chris Christie blasts former President Donald Trump’s ongoing refusal to debate, Tell It Like It Is PAC today released its latest television ad of the 2024 cycle. Entitled “Seven Trillion,” the :30 second spot is a six-figure buy that will air statewide on broadcast and cable in New Hampshire and across digital platforms. The ad includes footage of Governor Christie from the second GOP presidential debate from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library taking both Trump and President Joe Biden to task for their free-spending ways. Governor Christie blamed both men for “kicking the can down the road” and avoiding making hard decisions. Christie went on to say that, “Biden hides in his basement and Trump refuses to debate, he hides behind the walls of his golf clubs in Bedminster and Mar-a-Lago.” Since announcing his 2024 candidacy, Governor Christie has made growing the economy and getting spending under control a central pillar of his campaign. As Governor of New Jersey, Christie inherited an $11 billion budget deficit that he balanced without raising taxes. Over the weekend, Governor Christie accused Trump of seeking to, “to end these things {debates} for purely selfish reasons because he doesn’t want to give exposure to the candidates who are challenging him out there.” |
“Seven Trillion” TRANSCRIPT FOR “Seven Trillion” (TV:30) Chris Christie: During the Trump administration, they added $7 trillion. Seven trillion dollars in national debt. And now the Biden administration has put another $5 trillion on and counting. None of them are willing to take on the difficult issues, they just want to keep kicking the can down the road. And yet, we don’t get any answers because Joe Biden hides in his basement. And Donald Trump, he hides behind the walls of his golf clubs and won’t show up here to answer questions like all the rest of us are up here to answer.
